Rosmarinic acid is a water-soluble natural phenolic acid compound isolated from rosemary of Labiatae. It is widely distributed in many plants, including Labiatae, lithospermaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Tiliaceae and Umbelliferae, especially in Labiatae and lithospermaceae. Rosmarinic acid is a natural antioxidant with strong antioxidant activity, which helps to prevent cell damage caused by free radicals, thus reducing the risk of cancer and atherosclerosis.
