Alfalfa sprout powder is thought to be one of the highest sources of plant-based protein available on the market. Along with its mild flavor and neutral appearance make this a great product to add to smoothie blends and protein shakes. It is thought to be high in iron, calcium, and vitamin C, and a good source of potassium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, and zinc. It may be a rich source of the pigment chlorophyll and contains many bioactive compounds. It is thought to be an excellent source of dietary fiber and a source of protein, containing eighteen different amino acids, including eight essential amino acids.
