Hemp Flour is light green/brown and is a finely milled powder with a slightly nutty flavor, and a soft texture with 33% protein content. Hemp flour can be a replacement for standard flour in traditional baking recipes with a 1:4 hemp to standard flour ratio.
Hemp Flour is a highly digestible, vegan protein containing all nine key essential amino acids. Also found are the essential fatty acids Omega 6 and Omega 3 in the perfect ratio of 3:1. Hemp Flour also is a source of B vitamins, folate, iron, copper, magnesium arginine, lysine, and glutamine, plus insoluble dietary fiber. A serving of hemp flour contains zero-trans fats and is free from gluten, cholesterol, lactose, and sodium.
