Kalama® Potassium Benzoate is a high purity preservative for food and beverage applications with an effective combination of antimicrobial action, low cost, safety, and an excellent odor/taste profile. It is valued as a low-sodium preservative replacement for sodium benzoate, which also retains the preservation efficacy of benzoic acid. It is a synthetically produced white granule, and is most extensively used as an antimicrobial agent for preserving food and beverages.
