Lactobacillus paracasei LC86 was isolated from Qinghai old yogurt (local traditional handmade yogurt) in Longcai Village, Dari County, Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. At present, this strain is stored in the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (No. CGMCC 1.12731). LC86 is prepared by the patented technology of amplification, enrichment and freeze-drying, with the appearance of milky white or buff. It can be widely used in the fields of food, health care products, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, agriculture, ecological and environmental protection. The main functions of Lactobacillus paracasei LC86 were identified as follows:
