L-Malic acid, also known as L-Hydroxysuccinic acid, which has a strong hygroscopicity, soluble in water, ethanol, has a special sour taste. It is an important component of natural fruit juice. Compared with citric acid, it has a greater acidity and 20% stronger acidity than citric acid, it has a special fragrance, and does not damage the mouth and teeth.
It is beneficial for amino acid absorption without fat accumulation, it is a new generation of food sour agent. It is generally believed that L-malic acid has important physiological functions, but half of the D-type in DL-malic acid is physiologically ineffective.
L-Malic acid has been widely used in the food industry, tobacco industry, and daily chemical industry. It is used in toothpaste formulas, net tooth piece combinations, synthetic fragrance formulas, etc. It can also be used as a deodorant and detergent ingredient.
