Brazilian Ginseng has been traditionally used for centuries by local populations from southern Brazil, particularly for the properties of its roots. Today recognized for its multiple properties, the interest in this plant has been growing for a few decades in Brazil and around the world.
The Pfaffia paniculata root contains 19 different amino acids, a large number of electrolytes, iron, magnesium, zinc, vitamins A, E, K, B1, B2 et B5. Its high germanium content could explain why it is used as a cellular oxygenator. Its high iron content can explain why it is traditionally used to treat anemia. The root also contains saponins, pfaffic acid, glycosides, and nortriterpenes.
