Magnolia officinalis is an evergreen tree native to mountainous areas and valleys in China. Its bark is known as "Houpo" in traditional Chinese medicine and has a usage history of over 2,500 years. The bark of Magnolia officinalis is rich in a variety of bioactive compounds, among which the most important ones are magnoliandin compounds. The active ingredients of Magnolia officinalis extract: magnolol, magnolol, and total magnolol. It has a special and long-lasting muscle relaxation effect as well as a strong antibacterial effect, and can inhibit platelet aggregation.
