Policosanol is a mixture of long-chain alcohols that can be obtained from different kinds of plant waxes, mainly from sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum L.)
Reduce Total Cholesterol, LDL, Triglycerides and increase HDL. Supports Healthy Cholesterol.
Policosanol decreases the cholesterol production in liver by regulating the cholesterol-synthesis enzyme (HMGCoA reductase) to a lower, more favourable level
Policosanol enhance liver metabolism and the breakdown of cholesterol (especially LDL and triglycerides) policosanol can also increase “good” cholesterol – HDL.
Policosanol has the ability to reduce LDL peroxidation; supporting heart health.
