Skyherb developed a standardized Bilberry Extract by using The European Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus fruits ), which is rich in Anthocyanins. Anthocyanins have been proved to be potent antioxidant compounds that can up-regulate the defenses against oxidative stress. Meanwhile, Bilberry has been widely used for improving visual acuity in healthy individuals and may be useful to individuals with eye diseases such as cataracts, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, and myopia.
