1. If Collect or Will Call, Ingredients Online will not file a carrier claim.

4. Customer Contact Information - Must include:

a. Contact name
b. Phone number
c. Email (for Primus as well)

5. Description of Goods - Must be listed with the proper product/name.

6. Pallet Count - Must be clearly noted.

7. Weight - Must be listed in pounds (LBS).

8. Freight Class - The correct class corresponding with the product description selected must be used at all times.

9. Freight Terms - Only two options allowed:

a. Collect
b. 3rd Party (If 3rd party, billing information must be included).
c. If "Collect" is selected but billing info is listed, you must correct and resend the BOL.

10. Order Number - Must be included to link the BOL to the correct Sales Order (SO).

11. Brokers Liability Clause - Must be removed before approval.

12. Carrier Name - Must be listed.

13. Pallet Dimensions - Must always be in inches (never in centimeters).

Organic Products:

If the product is organic, we must ensure the carrier being used understands the Organic regulations. They should be exempt from certification.
Both Ingredients Online and our 3PL are USDA certified for the sale, handling, and shipment of Organic products.

BOL Receipt and Processing:

Initial Review

The BOL received from the customer will be reviewed for accuracy by the IO shipping team.
Any necessary corrections will be requested from the customer.
If minor changes are needed, customer approval can be requested to modify the BOL manually.
If major changes are required, the customer must send a revised BOL.

You will receive BOL Confirmation Emails

First Email: Acknowledges receipt of the BOL and informs the customer that the TMS system will be updated.
Second Email: Notifies the customer that they can now book the shipment with their carrier.

Carrier & Docking Rules:

The carrier must not arrive before the BOL is received and processed

Certain carriers are banned and cannot be used at either IO facility. The shipping team will require you to provide a new BOL through a new carrier if one below is selected.

Dock hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

If a carrier arrives before a BOL is finalized, the freight will not be released.

Any TNU charges (charges for freight not being ready) will be invoiced back to the customer.

Accessorial charges:

The responsibility to select the Accessorial charges needed are on the customer. Ingredients Online has no obligation to pay these fees if the carrier bills at a later date.
It is also required that the customer provides proof that an accessorial charge was not used.
If the carrier denies the proof the customer will still be responsible for paying the fees.
