Cholesterol NF is a highly purified sterol (95–100%) derived from sheep wool derivatives, known for providing the emollient effects associated with lanolin alcohols. As a natural component of skin lipids, it serves as an excellent emollient that supports moisture retention and enhances the barrier properties of both skin and hair.
Its hydrophobic nature helps soothe irritated, dry, and chapped skin, while also conditioning dry or damaged hair. Cholesterol NF is widely used in formulations that require effective barrier repair and improved hydration performance.
